We'd like to personally welcome you to the XbarH - our home; your home away from
home. We are JC & Michele, your hosts, and we live here along with our dog Jack,
and our cats - Spike, Butch & Porch Kitty.
We first arrived at the Lodge late one night in early January 2009. Winter storms
had delayed our arrival from Seattle, there was no water in the Lodge or our cabin,
and Jack refused to set foot on the wood floors. But that first morning as we
watched the sun rise over the ridge, we knew this was the place. This was a haven
where people could relax with friends, old and new, or enjoy time with family (two and
four-legged), find solace alone in nature, or simply take a welcome pause from the
road.
We love everything about this place; the land, the lodge, the cabin, and the
opportunity to share them with you. We live here and we work here, taking care of
the grounds, the buildings and our guests. We're around when you need us and
fairly invisible when you don't.
